Hic et Nunc, launched in March 2021 on the Tezos blockchain, revolutionized the NFT marketplace with its low fees and energy-efficient framework. It was a haven for digital artists and collectors, known for its inclusivity and focus on community. The platform's minimalistic design made it a favorite for showcasing a wide range of digital art, from renowned to experimental works.
However, in November 2021, to the community's shock, Hic et Nunc shut down. Founder Rafael Lima cited personal reasons and the growing demands of managing the platform. Though it ended, its influence endures, shaping the Tezos NFT landscape and leaving a legacy of sustainable, artist-centric marketplaces.
The shutdown marked the end of an era, and though the NFT market on Tezos faced challenges afterward, my time with Hic et Nunc is unforgettable. I'm proud to have been a part of this groundbreaking platform. My art remains etched in the blockchain, a testament to those golden days.
