Tipoff

Tipoff puts the NBA schedule in the Mac’s menu bar, with the teams, local start times, and where each game is listed to air. It’s a way to check what’s on without looking through several schedules and streaming apps. I can move between days to plan ahead, and there are no scores or live game updates in the panel.

It gets the schedule from NBA.com, with ESPN as a fallback, and keeps the last saved schedule available if a refresh fails. For Nuggets games, it also checks Altitude’s listings for local channels and pregame and postgame coverage. Those details include regional notes, since a channel appearing on the schedule doesn’t necessarily mean it’s available everywhere.
